Cross -border migration and its implications for the Central European Area.

The objective of this regional international conference is to evaluate both the positive and problematic nature of cross border migration, and highlight the need for politicians to deal with the problematic side of migration. The need to focus attention on this issue has been brought about by the fact that Central European countries form not only the transit countries of these migrations, but also countries from which immigrants leave to work abroad. At the same time, these countries are gradually becoming countries of destination for migrants. The conference should make space for the scienti c community to evaluate the problem of cross-border migration (legal and illegal) on the following levels:

Social and cultural
Economic
Political
Security

It would be appreciated if conference papers reference the problematic situation in their own individual countries. The conference will be held on 5. - 7. November 2014 in Bratislava (Slovak Republic).

Please send the title of the paper, with a short annotation, (maximum standardized half A4 page), to the address below by 30th of July 2014.

We suppose that participants of the conference will cover their own travel expenses and that other expenses will be covered by the main organizer - the Slovak Committee of UNESCO - MOST Programme.
